Winter has returned, or maybe it never went away. Certainly the conditions in far north Wick were milder but I doubt that still holds true. This is just a small collection of images taken in and around Corbridge earlier today – I have processed them differently but they all come out the same – cold:
Brrr. Definitely looks cold. It’s been a bit like that here too – flurries of snow, hopefully not staying.
Getting bored with this now – time for spring, motorcycles and golf! 🙂
And time for seed sowing! And sorting out the polytunnel. The allotment’s all gunky at the moment though.
I admire your energy and dedication – me and horticulture have never got along 🙂 You remind me that my mum used to share an allotment with the redoubtable Win:

The allotment and WI Meals on Wheels was their main ‘occupation’. I feel another post coming on 😉
Wonderful pictures! I can feel the wet grey cold 🙂
Thanks Peter – in that order too – wet, grey, cold i.e. miserable 😉
Beautiful images. And you are right; regardless of editing processes, they do all look cold. Great for me to enjoy vicariously, but I can well believe you’re over it!
Thanks Su – ‘enjoyed’ vicariously is probably the method of preference 🙂
Brrr! I feel the cold from these images. That photo of the river is heavenly.
Enough is enough now – do you know, I haven’t hut a golf ball all year – this is getting serious 😉
I especially like those last two shots, Robin, and the red in the second. Cold and snowy here, too.

Thanks Janet – cold and deep snow I like – it’s the half-hearted miserable wet stuff that depresses 😦
Wonderful photos… lots of snow over here.
Many thanks Malin – I was watching Rally Sweden last night – as you say plenty of snow!
