Just messing with a macro lens and then just messing with Photoshop and OnOne – can’t help myself :-). I think I prefer the original version, as nature intended:

And then, messing some more:

Finally, from close-up to 24mm wide-angle – the evening light along the lanes towards Fawcett Hill:

Wow the colours are amazing and the detail, please check out my blog at http://www.inspiringthroughthelens.com
Thanks and I did – now following 🙂
First and last gets the thumbs up 🙂
Out walking this morning. The last bit of colour on a bright day like this is glorious, isn’t it?
Thanks Jo – that is significant, both of those are straight from the camera – I should stop dabbling 🙂 I agree, the late afternoon is light is fantastic especially just before the sun sets.
A little addicted to the OnOne, Robin? 😉 They all look great. I’m a bit addicted to my new Topaz plugins at the moment, so I’m one to talk.
Thanks Julie – yup, you’ve noticed the addiction – time I shaped up and moved on. Think I might head on over to Topaz 🙂
I love Topaz. Great quality and I can use it with iPhoto and don’t need to buy Photoshop. If you’re going to buy a la carte- they have a 50% off sale every month on one of their plug in sets, so you might want to wait until the ones you want are on sale.
Many thanks for that – I will do you as you suggest – love new toys 🙂
I’m with Jo – first and last for me! Not that I always stick to what the camera produced!!!!
Thanks Sue – ‘as nature intended’ seems to be winning the popular vote 🙂
🙂
And here’s the same view from out of my less wide-angle lens http://www.flickr.com/photos/patrickdown/11044880754/
Remarkably similar Paddy – just like a photo club outing 🙂

Thanks Mélanie – you too – dull and ‘orrible here today 😦
Wonderful, and I love the warm light in that last shot….beautiful beech lined road.
Many thanks Seonaid
The last image in this post… Lovely! I do like trees… you know. 😉
I know – thanks to you I am seeing them in a new light.
Fantastic to read that I’m the reason you seeing them in a new light. Trees have so much to tell… I always listen to them. (Sounds weird… I know).
