… in one day.
The light changes dramatically. The further north we travel, the greater the intensity, the greater the rate of change. It is easy to forget just how startling the northern light can be. Yesterday it was spring-like then, overnight, the temperature fell away, the winds increased and the clouds raced across the sky, late for an appointment in the east. It is good to be back on the shores of Plockton and Lochcarron:
See, I am the whitest cloud that strays
Through a deep sky:
I am your senses’ crossroads,
Where the four seasons lie
Philip Larkin
Aah, Plockton! Went there years ago, whilst visiting Western Scotland…it poured with rain…… One day, I would love to see it I good weather. I must have taken a photo from precisely where you were in your second photo- just been looking to see if I have posted previously but I don’t see it in my WP archive,
That must be the bad weather photo Sue – it was taken from the first car park when the quickest thing to do was grab the shot and then quickly retreat to the warmth of the car. It may not look like it but it was perishing yesterday 😦
Great pics Robin.
Many thanks John – it is good to be back in this inspirational place; we have been too long away.
Lovely post, Robin! Wonderful images as usual. I love the colors! ❤️
I believe in process. I believe in four seasons. I believe that winter’s tough, but spring’s coming. I believe that there’s a growing season. And I think that you realize that in life, you grow. You get better.” (Steve Southerland)
Many thanks Malin and a wonderful quote ❤
Ah, Scotland. 😀
Yup, it is great to be back in these ‘old familiar places’ 🙂
Wonderful photos 🙂
Many thanks Elle – the landscape is the star – I just press the button 🙂
Beautiful and striking images! It’s as though I can FEEL the weather.
Many thanks – if you can feel a cold wind piercing through every layer of clothes, you are there! 🙂
You captured some beautiful lighting in these shots.
Many thanks, a very changeable day.
