Sandy reflections

Weekly Photo Challenge: Reflections.  It had rained all day.  Thursday 20th March 2014 was miserable in Dumfries & Galloway and no more so on the coast where high winds made an afternoon on the golf course at Colvend even less inviting.  We holed up in the lodge for much of the day, reading, lazing about and watching a DVD – The Conjuring – not recommended.  Then late in the afternoon the sun sank below the clouds to the west and a wet world shone in reflected light:

Many thanks – feels like stuff I used to create by pushing Ilford HP5 but an awful lot quicker and easier to do in digital.

Love at first sight. 🙂 I really like the blackness and the dark mood.
So evocative and intriguing and there’s some kind of Ingmar Bergman-feeling in them. I hope you know what I mean.
    Fantastic images, Robin!!

Many thanks Malin – very nice to be mentioned in the same sentence as the genius that was Ingmar Bergman. Could be the setting for the Seventh Seal – next time I will take a chess board 😉

        My pleasure Robin! 🙂
Yes, he sure was a genius!

And that’s my favourite movie (The Seventh Seal).

What did I tell you? It was sunny here (mostly- discount a little bit of sleet) 🙂
    Lovely moody shots, Robin.

Thanks Jo – today we played in a hailstorm – actually quite painful. I am booking a ticket south 🙂

Many thanks – it was a very relaxing few days but only for four nights – every time we come back wishing we could have stayed longer.

      • greenmackenzie · March 28, 2014

Isn’t that always the way….just a little longer please, especially if a day or two has been hailed off!
