… and what a time it was …
It has been a tough week, saying a last goodbye to my big sister. The service was held in the small church at The Lee, near Great Missenden. A lovely place but, it came as some relief to return to the peace and quiet of deepest Northumberland. There is always hope to be found in the wild places.
And so, the night falls …
Darkness, sorry to hear of your loss regards Tony
Many thanks Tony, much appreciated. The compensation is that Pat led a great life and was surrounded by her many close friends and family at the end.

So sorry to hear that your sister has passed on, Robin. My thoughts are with you and your family.
Thanks Julie – Pat had been ill for some time but she was always upbeat and I wouldn’t acknowledge anything but a positive outcome. That it failed to happen, has rocked my foundations.
May you find comfort within family and friends
Many thanks Brenda

Many thanks Janet x – The subsequent lines you quote have haunted me ever since I first heard them. I have dreaded the days when they would come true. In my sister’s eulogy, I included a line from another haunting song, Tom Paxton’s Icarus – “something good just slipped away”. Too obscure for anyone to pick up on but, I knew.
I’m so sorry for your loss 😦
Many thanks Livonne
Very sorry at your loss.
Regards Thom
Many thanks Thom – a remarkable sister
