A Resolution …

… and one I might struggle to keep – to post on WordPress at least once per week.  Not that I will necessarily have anything illuminating to say but, as I post on Blipfoto everyday, there should be no shortage of images.

It has been a quiet week in Beaufront Woodhead.  The hard frosts have disappeared, to be replaced by a gloomy light, plenty of rain and high winds.  Occasionally the sun has slid through a gap in the clouds and then it is a few short paces from the front door to grab the light.  This is a series of local images from the last few days rounded off by my middle son eyeing up his inheritance – we took the Elise 117 miles into the Borders because we could and because driving that machine is always a joy.  Thanks to the bikes I am very familiar with all the routes heading north from Carter Bar, to Newcastleton and south via Keilder:

The sun going down across the Tyne Valley

Taken before the sun disappeared for the day

The view from the trees back to Beaufront Woodhead Farm

A brief moment in time, the sun shining on Keith’s house – earlier today, 7th January.

Those trees again – again, 7th January

Very cool license plate 😉 Once a week here is a good goal. I hope to post more this year as well, but nowhere near that often.

Ah, it would be – that plate has been hacked in PS – two characters missing 🙂 Once per week is probably too often for me and my readers 🙂

I like your resolution because I really enjoy your photos.

Su says it well. All I was thinking was what a beautiful world… 🙂 🙂

It is Jo – the other thing I should resolve to do is go to the Reader more often. Have a great year.

Looking forward to seeing your posts. But even with your resolution, don’t let it put you under pressure.
    Have a wonderful 2020,
    Pit

I hope you keep that resolution, as I enjoy your photos and travels. A Lotus??? Very cool indeed. Lovely shots, BTW. I’d never heard of Blipfoto. Looks interesting. Do you enjoy it?

Hi Janet – Blipfoto is certainly a challenge – for the most part I do enjoy it. A photo everyday gets you continuously thinking about images and using a camera (although I may cheat occasionally :-)). It also makes for a wonderful visual diary – I have now posted 2182 entries, just short of six years. I recommend trying it – let me know if you do and I will follow.
Yes, a Lotus Elise 220 Sport – unlike two of my children, I was there at the birth – we went down to Lotus at Hethel to see it part-built on the production line. It even has our names etched into the underside of the fibreglass shell 🙂
      All the best, R

I’ll think about Blipfoto, probably after we move to Arizona , though. As for the car, that’s so cool! It’s a beautiful machine and must be a blast to drive.

So very nice to find you here, Robin. Especially like those monochrome landscapes. I am resisting showing the domestic photo-bomb that pic of the Lotus in case it induces a sense of loss. Cool car indeed. And if you can’t manage one a week, once a month would be good! 🙂

Many thanks Tish – a much wiser objective and one I will probably adopt come February 🙂
