More motorcycle diaries

I have been neglecting this blog.  The weather has been unusually good, flaming June has given Northumberland a taste of Tuscany or, should that be North-umbria. These images, which have all appeared on Blip, explain the neglect – there will be plenty of time to sit at the keyboard over the winter months 😦  – frost and snow are not conducive to bikes or golf:

Green Rigg

… to Carter Bar via Carlisle and Hawick – 134 miles

The Monster – clean and at rest

Press start for instant exhilaration

Skid risk … actually a certainty with steep gradients and hairpins.

To Vindolanda under hot Northumbrian skies

the photo of the carter bar is great… it has something of freedom… it touched my heart ;O)

Many thanks, not the best quality as I can only carry a phone on the Ducati. The ride across from Carlisle to Hawick is magnificent – a fine A road with sweeping curves and virtually empty 🙂

Well, never mind the blog, it looks like you are enjoying life, Robin!

It’s hectic Sue but better than being bored 😉 Hope all is well with you.

North-unbria…good one. 🙂 I agree with Sue. Heck with blog and on with life. I just got back from several weeks in France, during which time I didn’t blog or read blogs. Too busy just living. For over five years, I blogged even while on vacation and I’m enjoying this method much more.

It can become an unhealthy obsession if you are not careful – everything in moderation – including moderation 🙂
Have a great summer Janet – all the best, Robin

Ah, there is nothing like warm sunny summer weather to go out and play or ride in your case!!!!

    • northumbrianlight · June 21, 2017

I need to make the most of it Cate – you can be sure it won’t last long ion these parts 😉

Fab bike photos. Nothing wrong with taking advantage of the all -too-fleeting sunshine. Have fun tearing up those roads, young man. 😎

Many thanks Julie – I really like that ‘young man’ reference – a friend for life 😀

I, too, have noticed less time spent blogging, or reading others’ blogs. Winter comes soon enough.

Great shots. Glad you’re having bike-riding weather.

Thanks Su – an unusually hot June for Northumberland – much like you must get all the time in summer I guess.

Nuff said! Lovely images, Robin! Even enjoyed this morning’s thunderstorm. 🙂 🙂

Thanks Jo – not much thunder around these parts but we could hear yours in the distance 😉
Have a great summer and apologies for the lack of comments – rushing off to golf shortly.
