Travel theme: Chapeau!

My immediate reaction to this challenge was ‘I don’t do hats‘ even though the maternal grandmother and great grandmother were obsessed with the things (take a look at this wedding photo – great grandmother Emily is sat next to the bridesmaid on the right – what a concoction!).

Then it occurred to me that when I travel on two wheels I always wear a hat/lid/helmet (delete to your preference), so here are two of the three atop the Monster:

... Raw lid atop Monster

... helmet atop Ducati Monster

Beautiful glossy gleaming texture to the images. I can feel the light coming off the metal.

Thanks Lita – I removed the scars of dead flies on the helmets with Photoshop 😀

I admire your know how! I would love to figure photoshop. More power to you 😉

Great photos…. I remember my time on two wheels … I always was sad when I saw what the “hat” did with my hair :o) Oh and I remember the flies and morquitos in my eyes when I had the visor open :O)

I love your take on the challenge. The British seem to have a hat fetish, but there are always exceptions. 😉

Thanks Julie – Given my love of helmets (you can never have enough) I think I might have inherited the hat gene after all 🙂

    Oh so very cool, Robin.

Thanks Tish – one tries, despite all external evidence to the contrary 🙂
That’s the beauty of the full face helmet – nobody knows who/what you are.

Always nice to have something big and throbbing 😉 Like the light in these shots and the abstract mollusc appearance 🙂

I was working on the Darth Vader look but abstract mollusc is probably closer to it 😀
