Travel theme: Trees. You can’t see the wood for them supposedly but look closely and you might see some ethereal sheep. This is Square Wood, near Fallowfield and Written Crag, just south of Hadrian’s Wall:

The sheep are a surreal addition to the eerie sage green forest. The entire photo is really soothing to the eye.
It was an eerie place – it seemed odd to find sheep wandering around in the woods when there were open spaces nearby.
