Weekly Photo Challenge: Inside & Travel theme: Gardens – I confess I stole the idea of combining the two challenges from Canoe Communications. My immediate thought was Kew which we visited in blazing June last year. This is the iconic Palm House:
This second image is from the the Incredible Edible Tea Party which was outside the Palm House, rather than inside:
I am a reluctant gardener. I do it to keep the place looking tidy – around this time of year I get vaguely depressed as the grass starts to grow again. Give me a well-turned, well-polished exhaust pipe any day 🙂

That Incredible Edible Tea Party is an interesting idea. You’re not a lawn and garden care enthusiast? What would your neighbors do if you just let it grow wild?
That would probably encourage them to do the same – first and foremost I am a tidy-freak 😦 It is only this that overcomes my aversion to all things horticultural.
Great images. Love the Palm house. Kew is so special and this post brings out the beauty of the place perfectly.
Many thanks for the ever generous comments Lita. I must admit I took more interest in the architecture than the contents but that’s just me 🙂
The architecture is a show stopper to be fair! 😉
Love that first section with the rooftops. Beautiful and well-chosen for the challenge.
Many thanks, it is a very special building.
Fantastic post.
Many thanks and thanks for the inspiration 🙂
Wonderful building, isn’t it, Robin? Successful golf today? 🙂
It certainly is Jo, must admit I got more excited by the building than the contents. We have been staying at Colvend, Dumfries & Galloway this last week….in the middle of a golf course. I had intended to play yesterday but the weather was awful – how frustrating was that! 😡
You should have come south! We have sunny golf courses here 🙂
I will definitely get there one day – there are some good courses down your way.
