Have I Been categorised as SPAM?

Mrs Carmichael and Mrs Fringe – this is happening to me too – every comment on every blog is being flagged as spam – I know they may be unexciting observations but…….

being mrscarmichael

None of my comments are showing up on your posts today. It is most dispiriting since I have entered the Where’s my backpack? weekly travel theme but cannot post the link. Ailsa, if you read this could you check your spam and un-spam me if that’s the problem?

Likewise mrs fringe, I commented on your loss of marbles and my pearls have not appeared. Could you, too, check your spam and release me if that’s where I’ve rocked up?

Perhaps I am being told something……………….

This is happening to me, too

What can we possibly have said or done :-). Thanks for responding and letting me know I am not alone.

Looks like you’re not the only one. Blogging friends of mine and myself have the same problem.
    Best regards from southern Texas,

Thanks for letting me know – it does seem to be a general problem at the moment – I would guess it started about a week ago.

I noticed your comment in my spam, but forgot to tell you. Sorry! As far as I know, this is not happening to my comments, but my blog is experiencing other annoying bugs.

No problem, I guessed that was the case. I can tell because the comment doesn’t actually appear on the blog I am responding to even though others have been previously authorised. I raised a support query through the community but I have heard nothing. Thanks for responding.

I, too, raised a query through the support community, and have heard nothing. It’s odd that only certain blogs are affected, and that I can still post in yours. Hmph. Wouldn’t it be nice if these hacking and bugging people used their lives more productively.

This looks like an over-zealous spam filter picking up on ‘suspect’ words used in an entirely innocent context – once detected, forever tarnished. So probably chaos rather than conspiracy 🙂

      Hi Tish,
Where did you post your inquiry with WP? Could you give me the URL? I found this one as to the topic: http://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/legitimate-comments-going-into-spam?replies=2#post-1343677
      Best regards,
      Pit

Hi Pit – Tish might not notice this but you reach the community form after exhausting all other avenues on the help screens. In fairness, this is an Askimet issue rather than WordPress so the link you supplied is probably the best route to getting this resolved.
        All the best
        Robin

As you know, I am having this problem too. The thread on the forums below is the one to follow:

Let’s hope it gets sorted soon.

Thanks for the advice – needless to say your perfectly valid comment was in my spam folder. I raised a support issue with Askimet yesterday and even had a quick response with a request for further information but nothing since.

I was in the same rabbit hole. http://blogagaini.com/2013/07/17/in-a-rabbit-hole/
But today, more than a week later, I am liking and commenting again. Hope you are with me too!
