Travel theme: Green

Once again I have not travelled far for this challenge, all of these pictures were taken over the weekend, not far from where I live.  The Northumberland landscape is still sleeping but there are the odd hints of green peeking through; where it is not, the moss compensates.

The middle photograph is not quite as nature intended, I just cannot resist dabbling (click on images to enlarge).

Your outdoors is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with the wearing of the green today,

An excuse to celebrate at our local pub – The Rat – yes, honestly.

That first shot is my favorite.

Thanks, mine too – the connection with ‘green’ is a bit tenuous but I was looking for an excuse to use it. The light suddenly changed as I was working outside this morning; I rushed indoors for the camera and just grabbed this shot before it disappeared – I only just made it 🙂

I just wanted to let you know, how I love your blog and have nominated you for Liebster Award http://ryanphotography.co.uk/2013/03/18/the-liebster-blog-award/ . Thank you for writing such an inspiring and enjoyable blog to read.

That is very kind and much appreciated. I am in catch-up mode at the moment having been disconnected from the Internet for nearly 5 days – shock, horror :-). I may be a while following up on this.

Lovely winter greens 🙂 ours have all disappeared again under another blanket of snow

Thanks and apologies for the slow reply – we have been in the disconnected world of Colvend, Dumfries & Galloway these last few days. Only just managed to escape the snow drifts this morning – we were lucky enough to follow a snow plough across to Dumfries (although even that got stuck at one stage).

Hello! I have nominated you for the Liebster Award. You can read more about it at my blog here http://wp.me/p29y3b-pM To accept, you’ll have to answer the questions on your blog, link back to my blog in the post, nominate some more blogs and ask them questions (i.e. pass it on).

Thank you very much, that is very kind. I have been away this last week in a part of Scotland with no 3G, not even a mobile signal so I may take some time to action this. Thanks again.

You are welcome, there is no hurry, take your time! 😀

Sorry, I forgot to tell you something yesterday about the award nomination: you may ask whatever questions you want to your nominees, you do not have to re-use the same questions. Have a great day and congratulations! 😀

Many thanks – don’t think I will be repeating them this week – it just gets colder and whiter by the day 😦

There’s so much around us to see and capture, one must just be alert at all times!

And there is no excuse for missing anything with a fairly sophisticated camera in the smallest of devices – thanks for stopping by.
