The snow is back

Every time I think the snow is gone, this week I might get out on the golf course, this week I might get back on my motorcycle, this week I might take the Elise off its tyre trainers, back it comes.  The wind is whipping up from the south so the swirls of snow just evident in the first picture are blowing away from the house and our drive – this is good news.  Also, look closely enough and there are even the odd green shoots of Spring.  Before long it will be time for The Masters, the days will be longer and I might just get the toys out of the garage.

Even though winter hasn’t left yet, I think you must agree that the return of the snow made a great background for showing off the wonderful lines of the limbs in the tree. And, what a magnificent trunk leaning toward the sun. Nice photographs.

Thanks Mary – there is another tree next to it which bends in the same direction, not so much bending towards the light as hiding from the wind – we are on high ground and suffer strong westerlies. I like those trees, they have been much photographed.

Yes, I did notice the other tree. They compliment each other and I can see why they have been photographed many times before. Enjoy the snow while it lasts because spring and summer will be here soon with warmer weather.

I love the trees! (Oak trees I guess)

They are Malin – I have so many pictures of those trees which are in the field to the side of the house. I see them every day; they are so familiar, they feel like family.

I understand – say hello to them from me 🙂
